SID's Journeys: Catovaz Unveiled

Honestly, Scoutmaster, I thought my mission would've ended here.

There I was, completely frozen in Cato's cave. My attacker, an ice warrior, had gone on their way leaving me in my hardened prison. All my functions were shutting down, except for my internal heating unit. The heat output was at maximum, hot enough to melt Gorkonian steel! Yet, the ice remained solid. Eventually, the ice lost some of its hold on me. I could move a few parts of myself but still couldn't escape. Over a day had passed since I was frozen, but at last, I was freed! This ice is remarkable, its temperature properties are nothing like I've ever seen.

With my newfound freedom, I scanned the cave once more and refocused on my mission. My updated scan of the cave's tunnels showed a deeper network than before. It looked like the caves went on forever and intertwined like a complex system. One of the tunnels branched off the network and seemed to have a large cavern as an endpoint. My systems were all functional now and I made my way to the aloof tunnel.

On this path, new readings started to appear on my scanners. It was a pulse or energy of some kind, then it clicked, I'm detecting spear energy! What an amazing discovery! I thought it was unbelievable but as I thought about it, it made sense. The caves have special properties, unlike any other natural cave system. Only spear energy could cause this phenomenon. I've heard it can alter environments all the way down to the atomic level. Captivated by my readings, I didn't even realize I'd made it to the end of the deepest path.

This must've been the apex of spear energy in Cato's Cave. The dead end shined brighter than any other path in the caves. My energy sensors were pulsing erratically. The energy was so close and unstable. It felt alive and breathing. I knew the information and recordings here were valuable for Anrach intelligence, so I brought out an energy probe. The probe was specifically made to track sources of spear energy and record any geological information. You should've received the information by now, Scoutmaster.

The spear energy was not limited to Cato's cave. With the information gathered, I now know that this energy is surging all across the planet. Like the network of caves, Catovaz itself has a network of spear energy pathways within the planet. Cato's Cave has a high concentration, which would also make sense as to why beings of power would be here. However, it's not the highest concentration.

My readings show a huge amount of spear energy concentrated in a specific location on Catovaz. Its levels are more than twenty times larger than the endpoint of the caves. This place has been revered in Catovaz culture and mentioned in mythologies across the universe. Many deem it to be real, but none have ever gone and come back to tell their account. I will change the history. My next area to explore and account, the fabled Isle of Energy.
