Surge Port Markets - A Feast of Fangs

ree

Welcome back, traders! A huge opportunity awaits with today's issue! Be advised, though, this trade opening is for the big dogs. This is only recommended for merchants with extensive interstellar routes and ready to move product fast. If you're capable, this chance can NOT be missed!

Our scaly freinds on the planet of Di haven't been having a good time. Since the war, their interplanetary trade has essentially collapsed. Their neighbor planet, Aoweii, has been marked for treason for joining the rebellious Allegiance. Additionally, the other nearby planet of Fargulk is in turmoil due to the ongoing war. Di has no trade partners. The Black Palace has been providing the most basic of essentials, but it isn't sustainable. Leaders of Di have now decided to look farther to the stars and establish trade with other star systems. Scouting missions proceeded, and some of the biggest names in trade and goods visited the desperate planet. We've got inside information on the hottest items that Di will pay top dollar for.

MARKET MOVERS-DI

The reptilians of Di are known for a few things, one of them being their insatiable appetite. They mostly eat the meat of various animals across their planet, but are always craving more. As their trade weakened, their food supply became strained. While scouting for more resources, they came across a new animal meat that they couldn't get enough of. On the desert planet of Pugart, a creature known as the Ked-al resides and prospers in Pugart's fertile areas. Their meat is known to be fatty and rich. The people of Di are creating high demand for Ked-al and are paying a premium for the meat. Also, a huge bonus if you can ship out live Ked-al in large numbers. They've also expressed a desire to create a domestic food supply on their own planet. Will the species survive in Di's intense swamps? Not really our problem as long as they keep buying.

The natives of Di are also hard at work building trade infrastructure for themselves. They have increased capacity and manpower for building their own trading vessels and setting routes throughout the star systems. Traders with connections to Gorkon and other planets with industrial markets can get in big. Di has an overwhelming demand for metals, alloys, and other building commodities to jumpstart their shipbuilding. As traders on Di build their ships, they are expanding their fleets with completed vessels. If you have contracts with top ship manufacturers like Atrex, Sion Co, and TCX, I recommend setting up some deals ASAP for huge upside.

Lastly, we'd like to revisit one of the golden rules of space trade. What is more valuable than your ship and goods combined? The trade route itself. Without your routes, you can't sell. Market leaders on Di have already gathered ships and have demand surging for all types of products. A lot of them are still missing the essential route to get what they need. That's where you can get in by leasing your established routes. This is done all the time, but not at this scale, where a whole planet needs trade routes! Essentially, they can lease the route from you and pay a premium in however you see fit. You can charge for each transaction, a distance surcharge, a surge port tax, the possibilities are endless!

This is a big play for the big players. Don't let it go to waste. That's all we have for today, good luck!
