A crisis has emerged from the Mehdias JX7 system. Treph'os V, one of the largest trading star ships in the system, has been officially declared missing. The large-class vessel was scheduled to make a routine shipping run, with stops at every major planetary trading hub. No distress signal or other forms of warning were ever received. How can such a large and important ship seemingly vanish from the cosmos?
With the ship's disappearance, a devastating blow was dealt to the interplanetary economy. Treph'os V contained many important resources that planets required to endure their harsh conditions. Such needs were from Catovaz, which relies on space exports for fresh food as their frozen wastelands prove difficult to harvest food locally. Another demand was from Scav, the scorching hot planet needed new power generators as the extreme temperatures damaged the ones in operation. Additionally, many major traders in the Mehdias JX7 system couldn't secure their products and shortages became rampant in consumer markets.
With the economic crisis in full swing, the leaders of the major planets within the system had to act. Officials from Myero, Catovaz, and Scav commenced official search teams to find the missing vessel. Black Palace authorities were also notified of the situation and offered a few scouting teams and Spearcraft Carriers to help aid in the search. As time passed, however, the search efforts were in vain. Treph'os V or any trace of it was ever found.

After the search operations officially ceased, hope was absent in the system. Those who couldn't endure the harsh economic turmoil fled to other systems if they were lucky. Sadly, many people who didn't have the means passed into the next life. As more time passed, something was discovered on Myero. Something that could lead to answers.
On Myero, a pro-data box was found in a local scrap heap. Based on the box's signature and call sign it was discovered that it belonged to the missing Treph'os V. Pro-data boxes are a standard piece of equipment on large cross-system ships. They store any relevant data for their ship and can be transferred and accessed. The Treph'os V pro-data box had something different about it. All the data stored was encrypted and locked, denying any efforts to extract the data. It's very strange for a trading ship to have encrypted data of this level, which is usually only used for military operations.
As this discovery created new questions, the top minds of Myero started their search for new answers. The pro-data box was taken to the Dyalt Institute of Technology located in the surface-level city of Oberzia. It was discovered that not only was the data encrypted but also contained a high-level de-sync system. This de-sync system would randomize the data components at timed intervals, making it extremely difficult for the research officials to decode.
After many trials, Myero's technology might prove to be successful. The pro-data box was officially unlocked. Star-logs were discovered, however, due to the de-sync system it is unsure how many were stored. Also due to the box's security features, only one star-log has been recovered so far.
Eventually, though, many more pieces of this complex puzzle will be solved and will reveal the truth of what happened to Treph'os V...
