The Cleansing Begins: How an Author Reshaped The Bloodlines of The Old Universe

Ascension: Cleansing The Bloodline Book One is officially available! This is the first series created by a single author from the originators' team at Forbidden Origins. Ascension is the first of an epic saga that explores the past of The Old Universe created by Forbidden Origins founders Armani Salado and Eric Martinez.

Before diving into the treacherous world of Jargun-Ba, we'd like to show how all this came to be. In 2022, we debuted The Old Universe, an epic saga taking place in a universe created before the Big Bang. As time went on, we gained a following on social media. With epic promotions and animations, many people became interested in our created universe. Eventually, we reached out to other writers and creatives to join our team. This became the Originators, a group determined to develop stories and lore for Forbidden Origins. We collaborated and released Echoes of The Old Universe in 2024. Echoes is a collection of short stories taking place during the Spear Saga of The Old Universe. As we continued to collaborate, we found ourselves ready to start a new story, one belonging to a writer named Luke Geldmacher.

Luke first approached us wanting to be a part of the originators. He shared a few short stories he had written. We were stunned; the stories were thrilling and so engaging, especially considering they were just a few pages long. Luke was a perfect fit and immediately became an integral part of our team. Luke co-hosts the Forbidden Radio podcast and manages the Archives of The Old Universe Blog, all while continuing to create and expand upon The Old Universe. Additionally, he is in active development of our first-ever tabletop game with fellow originator Pathryck Blancovitch!

After releasing his first ever published works (which can be found here), Luke was ready for his epic debut in The Old Universe. We were taken to the undiscovered past of our lore, 600,000 years before the Spear Saga. El was an orphan and an outcast, looking to prove himself to his tribe on the dangerous, shattered planet of Jargun-Ba. To prove your worth to the tribe, you must endure the life-threatening trial known as the Cleansing Chambers. As El enters the chambers, he learns not only to fight for survival, but also for the very survival of the tribe itself....
