GORKON

HISTORY

DESCRIPTION

The smallest planet in the universe, Gorkon was used as a mining station for the Itarian Empire, and eventually The Black Palace

Gorkon was so small, it had no moon. When the Itarians invaded, they first believed the planet was itself a moon out of orbit. Upon landing on its surface, they found a small ocean and one landmass.

The dwarf planet was located in the Rayon Prime system. Its rocky terrain produced a rare mineral that was extracted and mass-produced by the Itarians. It was called Gorkonian metal.

Gorkonian metal was used to make Itarian weapons, carrier ships, and armor, and was later used to build many Itarian cities and outposts across the empire.

GORKONIAN METAL

The early inhabitants of Gorkon began harvesting and refining the planet's rare mineral around 78 DTLS C1 (During The Long Sleep, Cycle 1). By 93 DTLS C1, the mining city of Paradin was established by the Gorkonians. Paradin became the centralized city of Gorkon. When the Itarian Empire invaded and colonized Gorkon in the 5th cycle, Paradin was designated as an Itarian military station, where Gorkonian inhabitants were forced to mine.

Gorkonian metal was so strong and pure that Itarian emperors almost drained Gorkon of its natural resources. Vorza during his time realized how strong the metal was when his dragon, Moordenaar, couldn't melt the metal with his cosmic breath

Itarian scribes years later tested the metal against Vorza's blade, The Blade of Euzuer, and concluded that only Spear Energy was capable of destroying Gorkonian metal.

THE BLACK PALACE MILITARY

When The All Father retook the universe after the fall of the Itarian Empire, Itarian scribes and generals that flocked to his side showed him where the empire's military might was made.

The All Father continued the mining of Gorkon and had Gorkonian metal used for Black Palace armor and carrier ships. The fall of the Itarian Empire should have been the end of rigorous labor for the Gorkonians, but under The All Father, it only escalated.
